Meet Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson

Scott_anderson_photo_medium

Scott Anderson served as Harvard University's Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse from 1988-2007 and is the second winningest coach in school history. Anderson is a four time NEILA Coach of the Year, and took his team to the NCAA Championship Tournament in 1988, 1990, 1996 and 2006. A 1973 graduate of Dartmouth College, he began his coaching career at Cornell University as an assistant for the 1976 and 1977 National Champions before joining the Harvard staff as Assistant Coach in 1978. Most recently he was honored by the New England Lacrosse Coaches Association as the 2008 Walter Alessi "Man of the Year".

Anderson is described in a recent Harvard publication as "a leader among his colleagues...with deep vision and intricate knowledge of Harvard Athletics". An important aspect of that knowledge base involves over thirty years as an effective recruiter for the nation's most selective school.
His experience and knowledge of admissions policies and procedures in the sport of Lacrosse brings clarity to an often times confusing process.

Throughout his many years of interacting with prospective IVY League recruits, Scott established a reputation for honesty and clear communication with both the recruit and his parents.

As a member of our Everest team, Scott will bring those same qualities when assisting student athletes and their parents in helping them make sense of the admission requirements for select schools.
